DesignTO Festival brings people together to design a better future, one that is more sustainable, just, and joyful. The Festival happens online and in-person at venues across the City of Toronto.

Each year, a Limited Edition Print is produced to commemorate the Festival's visual identity. This year, 2024, celebrates a new form of artistic expression, generative art. Each of these posters—and the graphics produced throughout the festival illustration by Amir & Aryaan—were coded. The specialized scripts and utilities took predefined parameters, dynamic parameters, and a pool of images from DesignTO over the years to generate each illustration.

Two version were created.

Standard Edition—
This is created through a standard printing process of ink on a specialized paper from CURIOUS MATTERS. Each sheet is archival, 100# Cover.

Limited Edition—
This is created through a four-colour separation, custom printed and manually loaded. Printed on the same CURIOUS MATTERS stock, but executed in four stages. Each print is numbered, signed, and slightly different in alignment from the other 25 in the series.
