Simple. Natural. Perfect. We designed the aftermodern.apothecary candle collection to engage experiences and aide mental health—a careful examination of the relationship between senses and emotions.
Our candles are small-batch, handmade, and hand-poured works of art. Small air bubbles may be visible; these don't affect the quality but indicate their artistry and craft.
INGREDIENTS & MATERIALS
Ethically sourced, our candles are made with all-natural soy wax and fragrances—vegan, kosher certified, and fair trade—unlike paraffin wax, a by-product of petroleum. Our containers can be reused or recycled; the same goes for our boxes and labels; made and printed by our local partners in Toronto.
WHY SOY WAX?
It's eco-friendly, sustainable, and doesn't add to CO2 levels. Compared to paraffin wax, soy burns longer but produce 90% less soot; a very unhealthy by-product that slowly coats your space).
FRAGRANCE & PERFORMANCE
Soy wax handles fragrances differently than other waxes, so it's gentler; this means it builds up slowly, lasts 50% longer, and is less offensive.
How to get the best performance (strength and range of scent)? Easy, leave candles lit until a full wax pool is present. The scent is created when fragrance particles in the wax heat up and evaporate.
